Tower of God (Kami no Tou) is one of the best Shonen to be animated since Naruto (its manga also has one of the coolest hard covers since JoJo's). It’s filled with action, betrayal, romance, psychological puzzles, and we’ve only seen the first season of the anime. If you want the complete story you can read over 80 chapters and 11 story arcs in the manga!
Tower of God is very good. The elements of the plot include psychological puzzles, dark fantasy, and action. The anime episodes start steady and really start to pick up at the end. The manga offers a more complete story line with betrayal, romance, and in depth looks of characters past and future.
The Tower of God really reels in your attention in the first episodes. A dark mysterious character that promises your greatest desire, the story of two seemingly unlikely companions, and the shocking conclusion to the first season of the anime. Why is the Tower of God so good? Two words: Time Skip. We have all seen classic anime time skips in fan favorites like Bleach, Naruto, or One Piece but the Tower of God is different. The characters change so dramatically after that some of them are completely unrecognizable. Watching the matured characters navigate the complex world of the Tower becomes increasingly more interesting after the time skip. The only way for you to really understand is to watch it yourself!
The Tower of God is so good because of the attention to details. The character development and action sequences are considered to be very well done. The pacing of the anime is very steady and does not lose momentum. Critics applaud Tower of God for its plot points that follow the manga storyline very closely.
In the anime the main selling point for fans is the promise for epic future events, the pinnacle of the tower, the realization of dreams. Everyone greatest fantasy, right? Wrong. Shortly after the ending of season 1 the main character undergoes a time skip that completely transforms the character. Not only does the main character undergo changes but so does everyone else. The Tower of God introduces you to characters on both sides and shows you the result of their good and bad decisions. What seems to be a too good to be true promise of your every desire turns out to be just that, too good. The psychological aspect of this anime/manga is one of the main sticking points for many. We have all seen classic Shonen filled with action, but Tower of God takes you one step deeper. Exploring the psychological decision making that goes into each character's thought process leaves other animes with a lot to be desired in comparison to the Tower of God. It’s a roller coaster of emotion with every episode feeling like you’re not sure if you love or hate your favorite character.
Tower of God is worth watching without a doubt. It has many elements that viewers look for in an anime: character development, action, plot twists, romance, and an interesting art style. Telecom Animation Film studio are the ones behind the stunning animation of Erika Yoshida’s Tower of God.
If you are an anime or manga fan, Tower of God is worth your time. It has relatable characters, emotional plot lines, and little to no filler. When I say little to no filler I mean it, Tower of God respects the reader's time and fills every episode with character development and essential plot points. The plot aspects are intriguing, suspenseful, and thought provoking. The make-or-break point for some fans is the animation. Tower of God has this covered from the first five minutes of episode one. Telecom Animation studio does not disappoint with the animation of manga fans favorite scenes. Fan of the Tower of God manga? The anime will not let you down. All this is contained in just the first season of Tower of God.
Tower of God is worth reading, it is thought of to be a web toon with high potential for success in animation and manga. Compared to other rising manga titles such as My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer. The manga is fast paced, with little to no filler, and suspense waiting at every turn.
Tower of God is one of the best manga I have ever read. Slow steady introduction to the complex world that surrounds the characters. Which leads into a time skip showing the characters you know and love in a completely different light. Filled with mystery, betrayal, suspense, and violence Tower of God is a must for every manga fan’s library.
Tower of God is not over. Crunchyroll has recently confirmed that The Tower of God is coming back to a screen near you with Season 2. The exact release date has not yet been released but it is expected sometime in early 2023. The plot will pick up where it left off at the end of Season 1.
The Tower of God has been confirmed for a Season 2 via Crunchyroll. There is no official release date for when it will be released but we can expect it to come out sometime in 2023. What do we know about Season 2? We know that it will pick up right where the first season cliffhanger left off. Not long after the events of the first season, the time skip occurs in the manga. If the anime’s path of following the events in the manga is any indication, I would say we can expect an interesting turn of events for Season Two.
